Standby Generators Explained

An automatic standby generator for the home works by monitoring utility voltage 24/7. When electricity from the power company is interrupted, the Generac generator detects the problem and goes to work. The automatic transfer switch safely disconnects the utility line and transfers to backup generator power. Once the electrical outage is over, the generator returns to standby mode and the utility line is reconnected to the power company.
